I՚m Rebecca

I studied media design (BA) and media sciences (MA) at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and the Universidad de Valparaíso in Chile. Following that, I worked in various institutions, agencies, and galleries in Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Berlin.
‍
From 2017 to 2022 I have been leading the design team at charly education and Study Together in Berlin. Since June 2022, I am supporting Kiron Open Higher Education as a Senior Designer.

Design principles

Human
The human being marks the center – as the goal of communication but also as its origin. Design must therefore always strive for immediacy.
Hierarchy
Communication goals determine the weight, positioning, and spacing of all elements. The declination of these hierarchies determines big-scale items, such as bright, colorful photos, as much as the seemingly marginal distance between two letters.
Problem
Design is the constantly changing field of tension between problem definition and problem-solving. It is on the designer to elaborate the interfaces and coherences between them.
Change
... is the essence of being. Visual identity requires consistency and recognition, but that should never be a categorical refusal to let go and reinvent.
